El Redentor Brawley and COVID-19
With the news of the COVID-19, and the changes that our nation and community are going through. It is necessary that the Body of Christ now more than ever, continues to pray and be consecrated. With the current situation, people are afraid and expectant of answers. For the believer, what is happening is not a surprise. The word of God clearly declares that these events will happen (Matthew 24:7). Though, I want you to keep in mind that nothing can take the Lord by surprise. Psalm 91:9 (NLT) Exhorts us to take God as our refuge and shelter. Dear brothers, fear not, but rejoice because we know that if this is a fulfillment of the scripture, our heavenly reward is at the door.... JESUS CHRIST IS COMING SOON!!! (Matthew 24:33).
I invite you to be ambassadors of the Lord. Be agents of peace and hope, speaking words that build and affirm faith. Speak love to people at work, school, and in your neighborhood. Today more than ever people are receptive to the gospel. Introduce them to the Prince of Peace, Jesus our Lord. "Lift up your eyes and see that the fields are white for harvest" John 4:35 (ESV). Consider these times as great opportunities, for the Lord “does not want anyone to be destroyed but wants everyone to repent" 2 Peter 3:9 (NLT).
Now, Ecclesiastes 7:17 (NLT) tells us that we are not to be fools, so our days are not shortened. We must be wise and prudent. Take precautions and follow the recommendations of the health organizations:
Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds often
Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth without having previously washed your hands
Cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough
If you feel sick, use a facemask and do not go out in public as a precaution
Brethren, this is not only because of COVID-19, this should be practiced daily as good personal hygiene.
As some have heard, the state of California as well as other states have given some guidance on public and close contact meetings with others. It has been recommended that all meetings of 250 people or more be postponed or cancelled. The Assemblies of God General Council and the leadership of the Southern Pacific District have also recommended following these precautions.
We have made the decision to keep our services as usual through Sunday March 15, 2020. We will take the necessary precautions to maintain the safety and well-being of our congregants. All our services are broadcast on our page at ElRedentorBrawley.org If you prefer to stay at home, please feel free to do so. Follow us live, where you can listen to the worship and preaching of the Word of God, you will also be able to give your tithes, offerings, and send your prayer requests. Any future information regarding our services will be released once available. May God bless you and protect you.
"Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again." 1 Thess 5:23 NLT
